Generative Media TLV: 1st Edition

Generative Media TLV cover image

The Generative Media TLV Meetup (GMTLV) brought together the Tel Aviv generative media community for an evening focused purely on research, engineering, and real technical discussions around video, image, and multimodal generation.

The goal of the meetup is simple: bring together the people actually building the future of generative media, no fluff, just ideas, results, and conversation.

Generative Media TLV meetup audience

More than 150 researchers, engineers, and practitioners joined us for networking, food, and talks from some of the teams pushing the field forward. The energy in the room made it clear that Israel's generative media ecosystem is growing rapidly, and that there's a real appetite for a dedicated community around these topics.

Voices from the Generative Media Frontier

We were fortunate to host an incredible group of speakers representing both leading startups and academic research labs. The evening featured talks from:

  • Yoav HaCohen (Director of Research, Model Foundations @ Lightricks)
  • Michal Yarom (Generative and Language Models @ Moonvalley)
  • Sagie Benaim (Assistant Professor @ Hebrew University of Jerusalem)
  • Ron Mokady (Director of Research @ BRIA AI)

Each speaker shared insights from their work on video generation, controllable media models, and emerging techniques shaping the next generation of generative AI systems.

A Growing Generative Media Community

Beyond the talks themselves, one of the most exciting parts of the evening was the community interaction. The room was full of engineers, researchers, founders, and students discussing models, papers, and new ideas long after the talks ended.

Generative Media TLV meetup networking session

We also received very strong signals from both attendees and sponsors that there is real demand for a recurring meetup focused specifically on technical generative media research.

Because of that feedback, we're continuing the series.

Next Event - April 15
